Principal Java Developer

As a Principal Java Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining a scalable Fixed Income Platform using Java, Spring Boot, Oracle, and Kafka. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-performance, reliable, and secure software solutions, including developing RESTful APIs, building real-time data processing with Kafka, conducting code reviews, and contributing to architectural decisions in an Agile environment.

Must Have

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering
• 10+ years of backend development experience
• Experience designing, developing, and maintaining multi-tier internet facing web applications
• Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, Oracle
• Experience with Kafka in a fast-paced Agile environment

Summary: In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable Fixed Income Platform, utilizing technologies such as Java, Spring Boot, Oracle, Kafka. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-performance, reliable, and secure software solutions. Duties:

• Develop and expose RESTful APIs to integrate with frontend systems
• Build and integrate real-time data processing solutions with Kafka
• Conduct code reviews and provide mentorship to junior engineers
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues efficiently
• Implement security and data privacy best practices across all systems
• Contribute to architectural decisions and assist in planning the technical roadmap
• Optimize systems for speed, reliability, and scalability
• Collaborate in an Agile environment and contribute to sprint planning and development

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
